Providing publicly verifiable Decentralized Randomness as a Service
Discover the League of Entropy (LoE), an innovative collaboration dedicated to delivering publicly verifiable decentralized randomness. Our randomness beacons harness the power of multiple, independent, high entropy sources to create a bias-resistant, unpredictable random number generator. Whether you're a developer, researcher, or enthusiast in need of a publicly verifiable, reliable and globally scalable source of randomness, the League of Entropy has you covered.
Join us in shaping the future of secure, publicly verifiable randomness! For the latest information, visit our project site at drand.love, or checkout our code on GitHub. Apply for consideration to host a node and join our testnet today by completing an application form:
Introducing Members of the League
Welcome to the League of Entropy, where a consortium of public-minded organizations unites to forge a truly random beacon.
Unlike other randomness beacons, ours is the pioneering effort of multiple, unrelated entities working together in harmony, but at “arm’s length” from an information security point-of-view. Randomness beacons have traditionally been the domain of individual organizations, leaving them vulnerable to manipulation by a single adversary. However, by bringing together our founding members including Cloudflare, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Kudelski Security, Protocol Labs, and the University of Chile, we've engineered the first unbiased beacon with cryptographic verification—an industry milestone.
Join us in this groundbreaking initiative, where each new member bolsters our shared defenses, making any attempt to bias the beacon exponentially more challenging. Become a part of the League of Entropy today and help safeguard the integrity of unbiased randomness as a public good for all! The League is made up of inclusive organizations committed to open source principles. If your organization would like to join us in hosting one or more beacons, complete a brief application to get started!

What does it mean to partner with the League?
We are making verifiable randomness a first-class Internet service and drand a foundational Internet protocol!
The League of Entropy is a coalition of over twenty independent organizations that power the drand network and contribute to publicly-verifiable randomness generation.

Guidelines
Operating a node for the drand network is a highly responsible task. We require that League of Entropy members have previous experience operating critical infrastructure that provides high degrees of security, reliability, and resilience.
Requirements
Operators of nodes and / or relays in the network are expected to design, deploy and operate a robust drand stack that follows strong security, and resiliency principles. Learn more by referring to our reference documentation.
Get Started Today!
Complete the Application Form, or send us an email to (leagueofentropy [ at ] googlegroups.com) — one of our volunteers will get in touch shortly. You can also join the drand Slack Workspace to follow developments, and engage with the League of Entropy and our drand community members.
